Silver Eagle Coins

Minted since 1986, Silver Eagle Coins represent official US silver bullion one ounce coins.  The coins are minted under the high standards of the US mint and are guaranteed by the US Government for purity, content and weight.  The program was authorized by Congress in 1985.  The front design of the Silver Eagle Coins may be familiar to some, as it was copied from the Walking Liberty Half Dollar.  These half dollars were in circulation from 1916-1947.  Collectors have felt that they were some of the most beautifully designed coins. The eagle on the reverse of the coin, was designed specifically for this particular coin.  The Silver Eagle Coins are preferred pieces for coin collectors, and precious metals investors worldwide.

Silver Eagle Coins are offered in three varieties by the US Mint.  These are the original original bullion coin which are available through authorized dealers and traded by coin collectors.  There is also the collectible proof which is only available through the US Mint. The third type is the Burnished version or Collectible Uncirculated version of the coin.  These coins have a special "W" mint mark, are hand loaded and minted on burnished blanks.  The US Mint does not sell these coins directly to the public.  They only sell them to dealers who are authorized purchasers of bullion.  They in turn resell them to other purchasers, sellers, collectors and the public.

Silver Eagle Coins appeal to collectors everywhere.  Many times considered the modern Silver Dollars, these are collected by issue date.  The value is not only determined by the cost of silver but is also driven by the number of quantity of the mintage.  Some years have seen mintages in the tens of millions, whereas the 95 Gold Eagle Proof set had a mintage of slightly over 30,000. This would make this set much more valuable due to its exclusiveness.

The tough economic market has had a tremendous impact on the Silver Eagle Coins.  Market uncertainty has created a desire for these precious metals.  Starting in 2008, the Mint began experiencing difficult keeping up with the demand and at times have had to suspend selling the Silver Eagle Coins or create a rationing program.

why are so many people interested in the Silver Eagle coins? It's just bullion silver right? Looking at many websites that are currently selling silver eagles, people are hoping to get more than two dollars plus over spot for them.

RC Copters - Three Main Types of Blade Design

By Alex Hummel
Over the last few years, battery-powered RC copters have become much more common and even more popular. This is in part because they are less difficult to operate than earlier electric or gas-powered models, meaning even beginners can quickly and easily enjoy success flying them. Today's electric RC copters are also smaller, lighter and easier to transport and perhaps most significantly, far less expensive than in the past.
